…Is the name of his blog .
Mark Hayes. 25. From the peoples republic. Budding writer. Budding actor. Currently living in La-la land.

To me , Mark Hayes is one of these people who we all want to be .He got up off his arse and did it . No doubhting. No fear. Went for his dreams. Fuck them all. Ive known Mark as an aquaintance for a few years through friends. For the past few weeks ive been in contact with him on facebook and keeping an eye on what hes been up to. And hes been an inspiraton…to say the least. With talk of “Christ Eimear its tough out here” , one can imagine it can’t be easy for an enthusiastic Paddy to find his feet in LA. But with other talk of what its like to experience the LA life as a good looking ,talented young pup, a recent post on his blog forces us to believe that he is also living a bit of a dream !And why not.
“Saturday night was my first Hollywood party in the Hills, getting invited by 3 girls from the Valley. Stereotypes all the way. It was fake, shallow, drunk and brilliant. Big mansion, booze was flowing, lit up pool, DJ inside, funbelievable view of the city. It was straight out of the movies, with a drunk Irish ape floating amongst it all. There were buckets of hot girls from the valley, ha, and the owner of the house was blatantly Italian but swore he was Irish. Apparently that was his chat up line anyways. Luckily I was saved by some valley girls. Cant remember much after that, free booze and all.”
The life journey is documented in a blog that is much better written than the blog you are looking at right now!
Have a look …http://trickaduu.com/
(especially for those who he says google his name to “see if he’s worth talking to”)
Struggle on and keep the faith my friend !

Went to FRED ’s gig at the Pavilion in Careys Lane on Sunday night and it was brilliant ! But sure what else would you expect from one of Irelands hottest bands who are currently taking over the airwaves. After the gig – all hell broke loose (ahem) as we went shopping in Tescos.
Most fun band ever!
and may i add Very VERY VERY rock and roll…

RedFM’s U2&Lady Gaga April Fools!

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS FROM CORKS REDFM !!
Firstly , the U2 gag made every tabloid and national news .Sweet! Check it out on TV3 news
http://www.tv3.ie/videos.php?video=7321&locID=1.2.141
So yes spent my day swanning around Cork City pretending to be Lady Gaga ! Her tickets go on sale in the morning for her gig at Live at the Marquee so we said we’d play an April Fools Joke on our listeners at RedFM and stage sightings of her across the city in various locations! Lowsy..i know…
And it wasnt the only prank – It all started when the Rooster announced that there was going to be a “very special exclusive” gig happening on the roof of Blackpool Shopping Centre…that very special band turned out to be “U2″! Hundreds of people were fooled into believing the biggest band in the world were performing on the roof. A huge thank you to the U2 tribute band Utopia who performed a few songs before being “raided” by the Gardai and fire services so a huge thank you to them for taking part! TV3 and RTE covered it on the news all across the evening so a huge thank you to those too. When the band were “forced” to stop playing ,a black limo swooped them away and a few minutes later it was announced on air that it had been one big prank !
Apologies to those who text in saying they were after dropping everything and having huge arguments with their bosses at work who wouldnt let them leave work to see U2 perform ! And to those who we saw literally crying at the Clarion Hotel thinking they were seeing their hero. We give you permission to get us back next year !
So then , “Lady Gaga ” was in Cork. Many believed it , many didnt ! She hit the town with her “bodyguards” in her limo and strolled down Pana. Thanks to John and all the staff at Debenhams who played along with the prank (who also came on air confirming her appearance) and to those at the Clarion Hotel for being so accomodating . And of course to photographer “paparazzi” Alex Patton who helped create the hype in Brown Thomas with copious amounts of flashes ! It was actually quite scary to have a few hundred (no lie) young girls running after you and beating down the window of the limo. Quote of the day was when i was at the balcony of “my” room at the Clarion and one of the few hundred who were below me screamed “YOUR SHOES ARE FROM PENNYS!!” …I thought “DAMN” ! I knew i shouldnt have worn them !Hilarious. Pure Cork.
But feck it …it was good fun and even if a few people didnt fall for it – a **itload definetely did . So at the clarion the red patrollers grabbed two “fans” and brought them out to RedFM in Curaheen where they had to sing along to Lady Gaga to be the first two people in Cork to get tickets to her gig. So well done girls !One things for sure , with “U2″ and “Lady Ga Ga” -a hell of a prank was played !

Emergency Services “raiding ” the rooftop gig…Like something out of Fr Ted !

ok maybe i dont look that much like here here coming out of Debenhams …i need to grow a bigger nose !!

Ah the Revalation !

And the good oul Miss Ga Ga herself !
